EHK Sports Hockey Crowns
Los Angeles!
CHICAGO, IL
- EHK Sports made its debut in California with a near sold-out camp at
the Toyota Sports Center, official training facility of the Los Angeles
Kings and Los Angeles Lakers. The staff of Jamie Kompon (St. Louis
Blues), Jamie Dumont (Portland Jr. Pirates), Tomas Kapusta (LA Jr.
Kings) and Mike Pilon (EHK Sports) set forth a fantastic week following
a curriculum of challenging, instructional ice sessions specifically
geared towards the players in attendance. The consistent re-enforcement
of foundation-type skills helped establish a rapid progression for all
of the players, as evident in the daily small area games. The off-ice
portion of the camp was a success, with players participating in unique
station-type of training developed by Rob Armstrong (LA Jr. Kings),
culminating in the spirited and energetic team-building sessions which
were a blast for everyone involved (including spectators).
The week
was capped off by two exciting overtime games, with entertaining
game-time play-by-play served up by the EHK Sports coordinator and camp
guru Carlo Fisco. A big thank you to Brad and Lenny from the TSC and
their staff as they did a tip top job in providing a great environment
for the players. Thanks as well to the kitchen staff for their efforts.
We look
forward to another stellar summer camp next year in June 2007, and we
hope that everyone considers taking the opportunity to participate in
the "EHK Experience" and the difference it makes.
Best of
luck to everyone and have a great summer!
